Project Overview
A full race weekend coverage project for Challenge Wānaka 2026, capturing one of New Zealand’s most scenic triathlon events through video, photography, drone aerials, athlete moments, and community-focused storytelling. Challenge Wānaka is one of the region’s most iconic endurance events, bringing athletes, volunteers, supporters, and the wider community together across a full weekend of racing. Creative Wave Media was embedded across race weekend to capture the full event experience, from the swim start and bike course through to the run leg, finish line moments, volunteers, spectators, and the wider atmosphere surrounding the event. This project continued Creative Wave’s relationship with the Challenge Wānaka team, delivering a mix of video, photography, and drone footage to help showcase the scale, location, and energy of the 2026 event.
